We developed the very first bona fide recycling process for surf boards in the world. Not only production waste but used boards as well can be recycled using Hydroflex Technology. Although even being this friendly with Mother Nature won’t let you communicate with marine inhabitants, we will credit 50 Euros towards the purchase of a new Hydroflex board when you return your old one.

We received a lot of requests regarding a surfboard repair kit. Long no more: The MY-T-FIX kit includes anything you’ll need for professional board repairs. It provides enough of everything for several major repair jobs. All materials are very high-quality and do not contain any solvents. Although any board can be fixed with the MY-T-FIX kit, it works best with Hydroflex-built boards. To make your “first time” a positive experience we have included a manual with detailed descriptions and expert repair advice.

... on his new Bufo Shape. North Sea local and top long boarder Michael Schmitz won the first incarnation of the HSA “Dutch Champs” competition on some nice Holland-waves topping out at 6 ½  ft.. This victory brings Michael a big step closer to winning the overall 9th Dutch championship. We developed a new long board in close collaboration with Michael starting in late 2008. It will fittingly be named the “Michael Schmitz Model” and will be available through online-shop and retail shortly. Check back for updates.

Bufo Team rider and Big Wave Surfer Sebastian Steudtner spent the last six months in Hawaii. Preparing for the new season, Sebastian surfed his Bufo Tow-In Board at Peahi and Jaws. “I’ll be flying to Puerto Escondido, Mexico, in May and surf the summer months there. If Tahiti or Chile gets big waves, I’ll definitely be there”. The world’s biggest waves are a once-a-year limited time only deal. Sebastian prepares the entire year for that short moment. The DWV junior team just returned from the ISA World Surfing Games in Salinas, Ecuador. Together with Lukas Kreis and Vasco Fragoso, fourteen year old Louis Josek from Cologne was one of the youngest German competitors. This year’s DWV junior team was also the biggest so far. Additional contestants were: Philip Katzenstein, Eduardo Niederlechner, Paul Günther, Felix Körner, Philipp Mappes , Virginia Giesen and Jodie de Armas Tracy. The team made 21st place out of 28 nations. We are happy for the team and are confident that this first success will be topped next year. We’ll keep our fingers crossed!
